Honest risk assessments for 59 careers — what AI can do, what it can't, and how to adapt
Our AI risk scores (1–10) reflect how much of a job's core tasks can realistically be automated with current and near-term AI technology. A score of 1 means the job is essentially immune to AI disruption. A score of 10 means most core tasks are already being automated.
1–3 (Low Risk): Jobs that require physical presence, human relationships, creative judgment, or work in unpredictable environments. AI tools help these workers be more efficient but won't replace them.
4–6 (Medium Risk): Jobs where AI can handle significant portions of routine work. Workers in these roles should actively learn AI tools and shift toward higher-value tasks.
7–10 (High Risk): Jobs where core tasks are already being automated or where AI performance matches or exceeds human performance. Workers should actively plan transitions or specializations.
Very few jobs will be fully "replaced" by AI. Most will be transformed. The workers who understand how AI affects their role — and adapt accordingly — will not only survive but thrive. That's what this site is about.
